How to make the Classic Shell Start button look like the Windows 7 Start button

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars

This is a short video as requested that shows how to make the Classic Shell start button look identical to the start button that is in Windows 7. All you need before this tutorial is Classic Shell installed in Windows 8, which I have another tutorial for here: http://www.allhow2s.com/?p=55.

I did not do the art, and the page that I show in the video has instructions on how to do this as well, so most of the credit should go to them. I do have a saved copy of the files that are downloaded, so if the deviantart download link ever goes down, send me a message and I can email you the files, or upload them to a mirror server.

I would do a text tutorial, but the one at the link below is very thorough, so if you’re looking for a video tutorial, watch the video above, and if you’re looking for a text tutorial, use the link below.

The address used in the video is:
http://www.askvg.com/download-classic-shell-skin-to-get-windows-7-look-like-start-menu-and-start-button-in-windows-8/

There are many more options as well for changing the look of the start menu, so make sure to play around with the settings. If there is anything you’re having difficulty figuring out, just leave me a comment.

I now accept donations through Bitcoins! If you don’t know what those are, you can get more information about them at bitcoin.org. My average donations are usually less than .001 BTC, but any amount helps me to make more tutorial videos, so any amount is gladly accepted.

I am always looking fornew contributers to my site for tutorials, so if you want to submit a tutorial, or have some youtube tutorials you want to promote here, just let me know by leaving a comment, or sending a message to how2s101@gmail.com
