This is a video showing how to make a photo sphere picture with the Nexus 4, as well as showing how the Photo Sphere looks when scrolling through it.

Some tips are to rotate the camera around the lens, don’t rotate it around yourself. Also, avoid getting your fingers or a sleeve in front of the lens during the pictures, which can be pretty hard to avoid. Use the undo button if you mess up on any of the pictures.

Step 1: On the home screen, click the camera button in the bottom left, or if you have rearranged the icons, open the apps screen and open the camera app.

Step 2: Then, on the camera screen on the Nexus 4, touch the camera icon in the bottom left. This will bring up a menu with a few options. One of these is the Panaramic picture option, and another is the Photo Sphere option. The option for Panoramic is the one that looks like a map with pointy edges, while the PhotoSphere option is the one that looks like a globe with a picture wrapped around it. Click on the globe option.

Step 3: A screen will pop up on the nexus 4 with a blue dot at the center, and the current view from the viewfinder around it. This is the starting screen for the photosphere. To start with the Photospehere on the Nexus 4, just align the crosshair with the blue dot, and hold it steady. When it is aligned, dots will appear above the picture, counting up to three. If you dont hold it steady, the dots will disappear. You have to hold it steady for about two seconds, after this the picture will stay there and you can move the crosshair.

Step 4: Move the crosshair to any direction from the picture, and more blue dots will appear. Align the crosshair with each one, and wait for the three dots to finish and a picture to show up there before moving on to the next one. If you mess up a picture while making the photo sphere, just hit the back button at the bottom right and it will delete the last picture taken.

Step 5: Some tips would be to rotate the camera around the lens, not around yourself. If you hold the Nexus 4 out from you, and then turn around yourself, the image will appear slice, so try to keep the Nexus 4 in the same place, and rotate around it. Also, watch closely so that you don’t get a sleeve or any piece of yourself in the picture. If you do, it will show up weirdly in the finished photo sphere, so make sure to undo any photo in the photosphere that has only a piece of something moving, if you want a person in it, make sure they are in the same spot for any of the pictrues they would be in.
